Get her style: Jennifer Lawrence

Wednesday, May 28, 2014

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the biggest names in Hollywood now, she is also been my favourite forever; I love that she is real and wont let fame or fortune mess with that. You know how on instagram and twitter everyone is doing #WCW, well she is my women crash everyday and probably will continue for an extremely long time. I had a hard time picking one outfit, manly because I wanted to keep looking at pictures of her.

I chose this specific outfit because its so feminine and elegant. It also made me think of spring… which in Canada isn’t coming any time soon. What do you think? Do you like Jennifer’s style?

Trend : Flower power

Monday, May 19, 2014

One thing I am very excited about this spring is all the flower prints that are being sold. They are feminine, elegant yet casual. You can pair it with pretty much anything or any color and the flower print still looks amazing.
Add a beautiful flower print jacket to make your outfit pop. Great for running around and lunch with friends.
These pants deserve a night out. How wonderful is this combination?
This dress is spunky perfect. The long sleeves, print and the length are to die for. I need to get my hands on one.
Simple yet elegant. Day to night outfit perfection.
And my all time fave: wear flower print with more flower print.

What is your favourite spring trend?

Get her style: Giuliana Rancic

Wednesday, May 14, 2014

Today's outfit recreation is Giuliana Rancic. Giuliana Rancic is a style icon, women cant seem to do wrong when it comes to fashion. Her style is very elegant and very feminine; she always looks well put together.
Edmonton is back to winter; it had us all fooled that it was spring for few days... adding colour to any outfit makes me think spring is near ( yes I m dreaming but oh well)

Top: H&M   Pants: H&M

Shoes: Forever 21   Blazer: Forever 21

What do you think of today's outfit recreation?
I love yellow, but that is not the most flattering colour on everyone, switching it up with red or blue would work just as well. This entire outfit was re-created for less then $100.

Trend: Dresses with sleeves

Monday, May 12, 2014

Who doesn't like dresses? I own lots of dresses, some fancy and come casual. If I could (and didn't hate shaving my legs) I would wear dresses all the time. Dresses with sleeves are probably my favourite. They can be easily dressed up for work, or dressed down to match any occasion.
This dress is perfect. It's feminine and elegant... But add some cowboys boots and you have a great shopping outfit.
Mid length, dresses with sleeves are starting to be my go to outfit. If I am running late, which let's face it is most of the time, simple dresses with some jewelry usually save my day.

What is your go to outfit?

TGIF: Have a wonderful weekend.

Friday, May 9, 2014

Hello my lovelies,

What are you plans this weekend? I m going home for a day and a half and plan to spend as much time as possible outside. Last month I have traveled more than 10,000km. I am exhausted and driving anywhere makes my body cringe… I knew this new job would involve a lot of travel but driving all over Alberta is exhausting… especially since it snowed until like yesterday.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and here are few links from around the web that I found interesting:

I laughed so hard at this ... pretty accurate. Life in your twenties

Best dressed of MET Gala. Blake Lively hands down best dressed.

Thing about kids. This explains me very well.

Happy Weekend.

Why married people are so different then single people?

Thursday, May 8, 2014

Since I m born in November I was a year ahead in school. My friends have always been older because of that. When I moved to Canada, I skipped grade 9 completely putting even more separation between people my age and me.
Mainly because of where I went to high school a lot of people didn't go on to university, those that did and I continued way we did before; you know study, party, travel with little worry in the world. Those who didn't started getting married and having things before I finished my second year of university. Ok, weird but to each its own.

After 4 years, of what I still consider pretty awesome part of my life, I graduated and was expected to go and get a job and live my life. If you remember reading this, I took a little break.  I decided to focus on my career; and before I knew, my Facebook was blowing up with what seems was my entire graduating class getting married and having kids. At this point, I felt a little bit left out...

When my close friends (of nearly ten years) got married and had kids we slowly fell apart. I was amazed how much people change after marriage and/or having kids. I felt we had nothing to talk about; I don't know anything about kids & frankly not interested. I cant remember what show it was, when they make fun of "we people" but thats what I felt. Here I was, giving it all I got at work, traveling and surrounded with "we people". Closest friends of mine would bring their husbands for coffee/dinner/movies or whatever it was. At one point if my girlfriend would say she is coming I would have to always count plus one. Not that I don't like her spouse, I do, but you can't talk you used to when you have a "stranger" just sitting there. Year or so later, we had completely separate lives where neither fit into the others.

Is it crazy that one simple event like that can alter a friendship completely? What do you think?

Get her style: Victoria Beckham

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Victoria Beckham is a fashion design, style icon and has cover over hundred different magazine covers over the years. I think I m equally in love with her and her style as I am in love with her husband. She is always so elegant and so well put together; I love her sexy-girl-next-door edgy look.

I love this look. Its down to earth yet fashion forward and that oversize bag *wow*.

I had a hard time finding a bag that is close to that. One I did find was Chloe and was over 3K… I believe that any oversize bag would look awesome with this outfit.

What do you think of this outfit recreation?

Trend: Full skirt

Monday, May 5, 2014

Ever since Carrie Bradsahw war a tutu and a full skirt in Sex and the City I was obsessed. As much as I LOVED the trend I found it hard to find a nice fitting full skirt... But it was more then that; it was hard to find a place to wear it in Edmonton.

The trend cought on and from NYFW runways to the streets, it is now here and most brands carry their version of it. It's so 80s meet IT girl. I m loving it.

This is one of my favourite ones I found. The lace is feminine and the bow makes it perfect.
The pockets! Anything with pockets sells the outfit to me. You won't believe how many dresses and skirts I own strictly because they have pockets.
The short full skirt might work better for a lot of us; it's more practical for work and making it work for day and night.
I am on the search for this perfect skirt. I have been unable to figure out who the designer is, BUT I MUST FIND IT.

Would you wear a full skirt?
