OOTD: pink on pink

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

I am very much a girly girl and prefer skirts and dresses over pants any day , I will also choose pink over any other color most of the time. So when I found this dress I was in love. I found it in a small shop in Nanton, the colour was perfect which is what drew me to it in the first place but it was the lace collar that sold me on it. Bosnia was colder then expected so it was all about layering. While looking for something to wear with the dress to keep me warm I gravitated toward more pink ... This sweater is one of the most comfortable sweaters I own, so naturally I had to wear them together.

Can you wear too much pink? I don't think there is such a thing.

Monthly beauty round up: March

Monday, April 27, 2015

If you have ever read this blog (or know anything about me) you know that I take basic make up literally. Funny enough I own a lot of makeup and beauty products, which I never or very rarely use. I usually wait until the last minute to start thinking about make up (so I get ready in 5 minutes), but I love discovering good beauty products.  Starting today I will share my favorite beauty monthly buys; that way I have a reason to test out and use more of the products I get.

My skin is super sensitive and I have had some sort of acne for the better part of my life, usually mild but it has gotten worse in my adult years.  I laugh and think that having adult acne is nature's cruel joke, I thought it would all be over by time I hit my mid twenties…but no sadly my acne and sensitive skin is here to stay by the looks of it.  Having acne prone skin and being allergic to many things lead to years of feeling self conscious which only lead me to trying endless amounts of product and medication to no end.

 I bought GLAMGLOW Super cleanse daily clearingcleanser & super mud clearing treatment on recommendation of a friend. I was a skeptic about the product, especially at that price point. The cleanser is to be applied to dry skin and by adding water to your face it turns to foam. After one use my skin felt soft and clean, over time it helped with my over all complexion. I only used it at night as I think it would try my face out if I used it more than once a day.
The masque (super mud) I use more like a spot treatment then and actually all over masque.  It helped a lot with controlling breakouts and minimizing how long they lasted; using it as a masque on my entire face evened out my complexion but it did make my skin supper dry.
Have you ever tried either of the Glamglow products? Did you like it?

OOTD - these boots were made for walking

Is it spring yet? Sarajevo had more snow, however I am refusing to accept that it will last much longer... with the sun out nice weather must be near. When I packed for my holidays in Sarajevo, I mostly packed spring clothes, as that is what the weather channel was indicating for the time I would be there; then I got there and it snowed for 10 days out of 15.

I had to resort to wearing skirt and high boots and lots of layers while I was there. I wore this all black outfit to lunch with a friend. The lather details on the jacket and this asymmetrical leather skirt added a little attitude to my rather boring outfit.

Why do you travel?

Wednesday, April 22, 2015

I love traveling, anyone readying this blog might've picked up on that by now. I also love airports, there is something magical about them; loved ones being reunited; business people looking all official; chaos of the whole thing makes me nostalgic and happy.
When was I was 16 I made a list of places and things I wanted to do before I turned 30; it mainly consisted of places I wanted to visit. Over the years, I got to see a lot of those places  and do a lot of things on my bucket list. On my 21st birthday I added few more things to the list... Today I looked at the list and realized that most important, most memorable and heartfelt moments are from my traveling adventures.

Someone once said "Travel, in the younger sort, is a part of education; in the elder, a part of experience." I believe in that. Richest people aren't the ones with the most money, but one with life experiences. Smartest people aren't the ones with the best schooling but ones that have life education and have lived life to the fullest. This why I travel; to learn as much as I can & learn to appreciate everything in life.

What is the most exciting place you have been? What places are on your list?

French Toast

Tuesday, April 21, 2015

I admit, I am horrible for having breakfast. I'd rather sleep in the extra 15 minutes then get up and eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the deal day; it sets the tone for the day and gives you a boost of the energy to get through the day. French toast is my favourite breakfast food and on this fine Saturday I decided that waking up early is worth it and actually made breakfast.

Recipe:
* 3 eggs
* 250ml 2% milk
* 3 table spoons of cinnamon
* 3 table spoons of honey
* French bread sliced ( or French bagget sliced )
* fruits of your choice.
* Maple Syrup

Directions:
Mix eggs, milk, cinnamon and honey in a medium size bowl. Mix well. Dip both sides of bread, and cook at a medium temperature.

Top with fruit and syrup and enjoy.

What is your favourite breakfast food?

OOTD- black & white

Monday, April 20, 2015

I am pretty adventurous when it comes to my clothes and accessories, I love bold prints and lots of color; however lately I have been wearing a lot of black. These harem pants with a stretchy elastic waistband are probably the comfiest pant ever. I wasn’t hundred present sure how I felt about the style but they are easy to dress up and comfortable that I had to give in and get a pair. I added a simple black blouse and black booties and was ready to go.
