Hello my lovelies,
Each new year brings so much promise, so much hope for the start of a new year.  Often you find its the times people examine the things they'd like to change and actively set goals to do so. This year, as many of you, I plan to do things a little bit different, starting with fashion.  In regards to fashion and shopping, I've vowed to only purchase things that I truly love and actually need. I am a strong believer that retail therapy is answer to everything, however its nor economical nor practical for me. I own too much clothes and shoes and don't have enough space to keep it all.  More often than I'd like to admit, I end up buying things that don't fit perfectly , its not exactly what I am looking for because of some minor detail that isn't quite right.  Those things then sit in the closet, get moved around and then get donate to Salvation Army.
I am not 100% sure how I will accomplish this, since I am very much of an impulse buyer and have never returned anything I bought. As of now this is my plan:
  • Do research. This way I will know what exactly I want, limiting my search and chance of getting something I don't really need.
  • Save money and buy what I really want/need, not the "well its kinda similar" item.
  • Avoid window shopping. a) I never got the concept b) zero will power, if I am at the mall I am buying something.
  • Buy versatile items. no that one sparkly shirt or skirt with pockets that I will wear once.
  • Avoid malls + online shopping. This is me unsubscribing myself to all e-mails and alerts. If I don't know about a sale or new things, I am less likely to go shopping.
What are your new years resolutions? Any helpful tips on not buy things on impulse?

get to know me fact: I own over 100 of heels. (yes I have a problem)
