Born Pretty Nail Polish

 I love getting my nails done, I love all the pretty colors and options. Finding quality affordable nail polish that last a long time can be challenge. So I got my hands on Born Pretty nail polish. It's has fantastic effects and a beautiful range of nail art to create exceptional and unique nails.

I got few colors, along with magnetic nail polishes. If you’re unfamiliar with gel nail polishes, these don’t air dry. You need to cure them under a LED or UV lamp for anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on the brand of nail polish and the type of light that you use. I bought this LED/UV lamp on Amazon and it works great.

I prefer gel polishes because they last longer than regular nail polish. I only do my nails on Friday night because that’s the one night I can stay up late and sleep in the next day. However, my manicure will rarely last into the next week, but with this gel polish I made it 7 days. On 7th day I chipped my index finger color but sitting in the hot tub might have contributed to that.

5 Beauty Products I've Been Loving Lately

I go though stages of wearing no make up, and sticking to the basics. Earlier this year I changed some things up and have been loving there. Since it's been a while since I shared my go-to beauty products, here are five I've been lovely lately.

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

This is by far my favorite mascara, I have tried other but kept coming back to this. This mascara is an absolute game-changer in the world of mascaras. As someone who values both length and volume, this mascara exceeded my expectations on both fronts, especially considering the cost. I got the blackest black (both regular and water proof).

Facial Hair Remover

Pregnancy has done havoc on my body,  have hair I have never had before. Dealing with unwanted facial hair has been a hassle, but this device has made the process so much easier and more effective. Doesn't leave a rash or irritate my skin (I have sensitive skin.) It's very easy to use and gets the job done.

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

Love love this moisturizer! I have a very dry skin but also super sensitive skin. This left my skin soft and moisturized and it does not feel heavy at all. 

Carolina Herrera Very Good Girl Eau de Parfum

I love Carolina Herrera Good girl, so when I got this as a present, I instantly fell in love. I find it sexy, and feminine but with a depth and richness.

LANEIGE Midnight Minis Set

I am a huge fan and have always love Laneige lip mask and this set is fun to play with different flavors/scents. These leave your lips soft, smooth and moisturizer.

Best Face Forward With Natural Radiant Life

Super Easy Faux Braid Tutorial

 Do you ever find something on TikTok and are like "I need yo try that" and it's a month later and you cant find the video? Well this is it. I watched a girl do this on her beautiful long hair and decided to try it on my  hair. I don't know how to braid my hair but this was super easy and looks cute.  

How to do it:

Start by parting your hair down the middle

Take two pieces and twist one under the other.

Each time you twist, pick up more hair with bottom piece and twist.

Once you have picked up all your hair, decide one half into half (you should now have tree pieces) and braid.

2-in-1 Hair Curlers & Straightening Iron Hair Styling Tool Review

I am going to be honest, I m clueless when it comes to most things to do with beauty – I cant do my make up other than the basics, I cant braid my hair and curling my hair has always been a challenge. My sister, knowing this hooked me up with this rather magical tool. A 2 in 1 straighter and hair curler, I m using it to curling my hair and haven’t used it for straighten my hair.

It is fairly easy to use (and me saying this should say something) and its fairly light. Its also so pretty (because all things gold are), comes with titanium plate technology and it heats up very quickly. I haven’t used the glove yet but since it does get very hot, its possibly a smart move. 

How to curl your hair (it does come with directions, but this is what I follow):

• Separate your hair in parts (easier to do that way).
• Take about an inch of hair, place it in flat part and flip up and pull down.
• Hold the handle of iron and tip 45 degree pointed in toward your head.
• And repeat. 

My hair generally does not hold a curl, but using this my hair held the curls  the whole day and this sis without hair spray. My first couple of times I had kinks in my hair, my curls were uneven but after a little practice I think I have it figured out! 

Gershion Poly Nail Gel Kit Review

In 2020 due to lockdown, or multiple lockdowns or quarantines in my city I purchased obscene number of things. I know I m probably not the only one, so I wanted to review a few things that I loved and few not so much loved. I love getting my nails done and have been getting acrylics and manicures for years, but with COVID and being worried about going places and the I decided to invest in the UV/LED light, and a polygel kit. 

Let me start this by saying I am no beauty technically inclined; I have a challenge painting my nails some days (like to a disasters point) but I couldn't be happier with my first attempt. I was shocked at how easy it was, sure it will take practice to get this right. 

The starter kit includes: 6 30ml gels in different colors-1.05oz, 50 dual forms in different sizes, 50 pcs paper forms, a dual headed tool-nail brush and spatula and a base and top coat.

Few things I learned along the way:

• Less product is better. To much polygel will just ooze out around the sides and make your nails too thick. Dab just a small amount on the nail form and then add more if needed.
• Alcohol or the slip is your best friend.
• Cure for 60 seconds on both top and bottom of your nail.
• You can paint over those (normal nail polish) and set it with gel provided
• The forms are easier than paper

The only negative, aside from the learning curve if you are clueless like me, is that you need to purchase a gel lamp.

The Best Beauty Products I Tried in 2020

Each year, thousands of new products hit the shelves and Sephora and Shoppers Drug Mart suck me into trying a lot of things out. I m not good at make up, my hair is up in a messy bun most of the time and my skin care routine is minimal, but 2020 was a special year because I bought more beauty products than usual, and wore less make up than ever, so go figure.  Here are the products I absolutely loved, and not did not love so much.

Givenchy Hot Couture Eau de Toilette 

 This used to be my go to back in the early two thousands, and then they. I was so glad to see they brought it back awhile ago. Smells exactly like it did back in the day. Love this perfume, its light and last a long time.

Laneige lip mask 

Okay I might have had this for a long time but this product has been magic. I’ve searched for something that would work for my very dry lips for so long and this was the answer. Get it you def. need it.

Lano Tinted Lip Balm in Perfect Nude 

Creamy, moisturizing and the perfect nude color. Its not sticky and smells good.

Nena Clay Mask 

 This has been potentially one of the best beauty finds, ever.  I’ve tried many brands and many different clay masks and this has been one of the best. It makes my skin smoother and bright, specially after spending time under in the sun or outside in the winter. Very easy to apply and wash off. Definitely highly recommend.

Rare Beauty Mini Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick Duo 

The colors are GORGOUS and it last so long it doesn’t also dry out your lips and its really pigmented 10/10 recommend. 

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution 

This was recommended to me by my esthetician and I fell in love with it. I have acne prone skin and I use this couple times a week. My breakouts have subsided all together and my skin feels smoother.

The first time I did my nails it lasted for about two weeks, but I think that is more from a user error not because the color couldn’t last longer without chipping. Its super easy to use: you have to lightly buff the natural nail, use alcohol to dehydrate the nail, and apply base, cure it, color of choice, cure it, color again, cure it and finish it with a top coat and cure it.

Face Masks That Really Deliver

I am not sure if it’s the winter or the stress at work but in 2020, my skin hit a new low.. I am talking low as teenager with raging hormones type of skin issues. I tried everything from changing my diet, switching from my got to brand, new makeup, brushed…everything I can think off! You know that meme that says "I'll put a mask on, that will fix everything " so as a last resort so I decided to try it... well try all the masks I could get my hands on.

Deep cleaning mask: Nena Clay Glacial Oceanic Clay Mask
