TV/Movies-Must Watch TV & Movies

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

Normally we would do a round up of TV shows or movies you should check out, but today is your lucky day as you get a little bit of both. Change is good people! Here are the picks for this month.

If you saw Breaking Bad then you know all about Saul Goodman. This show is  pre-Breaking Bad;  it tells the story of Saul before he met Walter White. And no, you don't have to watch Breaking Bad to enjoy this show but it's highly recommended. It's really good! Breaking Bad and Season 1 of Better Call Saul are on Netflix so feel free to binge watch both. Season 2 premieres Monday February 15, 2016 on AMC at 10/9c.

Billions
This is a complex drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance. Shrewd, savvy U.S. Attorney, Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti), is trying to catch the ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby "Axe" Axelrod (Lewis),  for crimes he believes he is committing. Each of them uses all of his considerable smarts, power and influence to outmaneuver the other. This show has amazing actors and is intense; watch it you will be hooked. Billions is a Showtime original series that airs Sundays at 10 PM ET/PT.

How To Be Single
Who even care what this film is about when it has Rebel Wilson in it? You know the girl from Pitch Perfect 1 & 2. I still quote her to this day: "horizontal running" is comedy gold! Okay but seriously, this movie is a total chick flick so grab your girls and go see it! A description of the movie is not required because it's all in the title; a girl who is newly single in New York learns how to enjoy the single life.

Triple 9
This movie is a thriller about a corrupt group of cops being blackmailed by the Russian mob to pull off a heist. Obviously, all goes wrong and this triggers a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge. The trailer pulled me in, it also has Kate Winslet starring (I think she is an amazing actress), so it's a must see! Triple 9 hits theaters February 26, 2016, so keep an eye out for it.

Deadpool
This is the perfect date night movie it has something for guys and girls. For the guys there is the obvious comic book hero but for girls there is Ryan Reynolds who is a hottie and very funny. After seeing the previews, there is a surprising amount of comedy in it which makes it to the top of the movie list. Surprise your man and suggest this movie. You won't regret it.

What are you guys watching? What do you think of these picks?
