Book of the Month: Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda

Tuesday, March 7, 2017

This book was so hard to put down, it's captivating; you get wrapped up in the characters. When you read this book make sure you start it when you have nothing else you need to do. I guarantee you will lose hours getting lost in Mumbai with Kavita and then jumping back to San Fransisco with Somer.

Shilpi weaves an intertwined tale of a young baby given up for adoption by her mother Kavita, and the adoptive mother Somer raising the baby. She shows you how these two families although miles apart are connected by one mothers sacrifice and a young woman's need to find out where she came from.

I cannot say this enough, go and read this book you will not regret it. I would give you a more detailed synopsis but I don't want to give any of it away.

Read it and let us know what you think!
