#DIY Hand Sanitizer

Saturday, March 14, 2020

It's an interesting time, with Corona virus, everything closing and shopping pandemic, I am  starting to be a little stressed. I feel a little bit helpless - while I try and share news updates from trusted sources, stores that I know have stock and offering to shop for elderly neighbours - it doesn't seem to be enough.
So I went on a search of other ways to help. Here is how to make hand sanitizer at home. I originally found this post where she shares bunch of DIY cleaners and sanitizers. I followed pretty much what she did with exception of I used the medical grade all gel (used for burns) and different essentials oil.

Ingredients:
  • 100ML Alo Vera Gel or Lidocaine Gel
  • 300ML  Rubbing Alcohol (91% Isopropyl Alcohol or higher)
  • 30 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil (or combination of essential oil of your choice)

How to Make Hand Sanitizer at Home:
  • Add all ingredients to a small mixing bowl.
  • Then whisk together thoroughly for about 1 minute, or until all ingredients have been well combined.
  • Immediately transfer your DIY hand sanitizer to empty containers and you’re done!
  • Then… just shake well before each use.
