Stay-At-Home Date Ideas (That Are Better Than Netflix)

Monday, October 3, 2022

I am a home body, my other half is not, so I started planning dates that we can do that would more fun than sitting around and watching TV (not that there is anything wrong with binge watching TV!). Here is few fun date night ideas you can try:

HAVE A BALCONY PICNIC
Having a picnic is one of our favorite date ideas. We love going to a nearby park or beach and setting up a delicious spread with a nice bottle of rose and spending the day just relaxing on a picnic blanket. If you can’t get out somewhere, bring the picnic home? You can set it up in your living room or in the backyard. Just as romantic at home as a stay at home date night idea.

WINE / BEER TASTING
Make a cheese board, buy tasting glasses and have a drink tasting night. We made little a charcuterie board with cheese and pretzels and picked up 6 local beets to try, and made cards to rate the beer. This was fun and super easy to set up.

WORKOUT TOGETHER
Couples who work out together stay together right? Go to the gym together, go for bike rides, walks, do yoga anything where you can get your bodies moving and spend some quality time together. The gym and I don't get a long but going to work out with my boyfriend actually makes a huge difference.

SET UP A DRIVE IN MOVIE EXERIENCE FROM YOUR HOME
Set up a projector on a blank wall in your backyard or your bedroom and have an al fresco movie night complete with popcorn and comfy blankets. I purchased this projector and it has been a game changer - in winter we used in the bedroom but in the Summer we use it outside with lots of blankets and pillows, popcorn and drinks.

HAVE A SPA DAY
Self care is a must but setting up a couples self care spa experience will bring you closer and both of you will feel so much better. Whether is having a bath with candles and clay face masks, or giving each other massages, this soon became my favorite date night.

What's your go to date?
