Top 5 Staples You Need For Summer

Tuesday, June 27, 2017

Summer is the best season ever! It's patio season, going down to the lake on weekends, it's basically being outdoors at all times. However, with this glorious season comes a new set of challenges that we don't have to face during any other season and that is SWEAT! Ahh sweat, the dreaded enemy, after many years I have somewhat combated this problem or at least the problems that it creates. I also, have a couple of things on the list that are essential for keeping your skin protected. Check out my Summer staples you need to combat sweat and keep your skin in tip top shape.

No7® Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream SPF 30- A moisturizer with SPF in it is essential all year round but is especially important in the Summer. By using a moisturizer with SPF built into you, you can combine 2 steps into one. I would suggest however, to use a moisturizer with a higher SPF in the summer, I'm still searching for a good one so let me know in the comments if you have a favourite.

Talula Eau Claire Hat- A Hat is really important for protecting your face from all those sun rays. Just make sure you have a wide brim hat it doesn't have to be this specific one, but just one that covers your face is essential.
Body Glide "For Her" Anti-Blister Stick- This is for the dreaded chub rub! Whether you're skinny or curvy if your thighs touch when you walk you need this miracle in your life. This stuff works amazingly well, I used to use deodorant and Vaseline, while those reamdies are okay you have to reapply a lot because its not a long lasting solution. This Anti-Blister Stick is the BOMB! Try it out you will thank me!

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray- I never used to use a setting spray, I thought they were a waste of money. I got a sample bottle of this Urban Decay setting spray and boy was I wrong! My face used to melt with the slightest bit of heat and my makeup would essentially disappear. Now my makeup doesn't budge and I still look good enough to take pictures at the end of a long sweaty night.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder- If you use any sort of creamy or liquid makeup whether its foundation or contouring then you will also need a really good setting powder in addition to the setting spray. There is a noticeable difference from when I remember to set everything with powder than when I don't.

What are your Summer Essentials? Any tricks or tips for combating sweat?
