Top 5 Beauty Items From the Drugstore

Tuesday, January 23, 2018

I love a good bargain, I mean I will pay for quality but if quality comes at a lower price point I'm all for it. Here are my top 5 drugstore beauty picks. These items are at a great price and work just as good if not better than high end make up.
NYX- Powder Puff Lippie Powder Lip Cream: I love these they go on with a mousse like feel and then sets to a powdery finish. It is winter so I have needed a primer to keep my lips from being dry, but that's more of a me problem than the product. If you have dry lips like me I'd suggest a primer.
Gigi Hadid Eyeshadow Palette - Warm: This little Palette has everything you need and has amazing pigmentation. I love the colours in this palette and it's small enough to travel with. Plus you can create a variety of looks with it, and the shimmers are amazing. Normally I find drug store shimmer eyeshadows have a lot of fallout but this one doesn't.

Maybelline- The Colossal® Big Shot Mascara: I will admit I have long lashes but I lack volume. I joked about getting fake lashes and proceeded to be starred down with daggers, but I seriously want both length and fullness. This mascara from Maybelline does just that, I don't even have to use an eyelash curler or put on a ton and my lashes look fuller.
Rimmel- Stay Matte Pressed Powder: Every drugstore tutorial I watch has at some point mentioned this pressed powder as their go to. I finally got a chance to try it and I love, love, love it. It wears well, keeps my face matte all day without looking chalky. It's the best, so I agree it's a mist try. I don't use liquid foundation I use the pressed powder and it even out my skin tone perfectly. The one down side is it doesn't come in a lot of shades, I managed to find one that suited me but it was really hard.
e.l.f.- Makeup Mist & Set Spray: This setting spray is so inexpensive, and its great for everyday. I don't use it for a night out where I know I will be dancing but it's great for everyday to wear to work. My face can start getting sweaty if I get too warm, and it being Winter I go from cold to warm and for some reason that means my body becomes a furnace and my face melts. This setting spray helps to keep everything in place all day. I will admit it doesn't last as long as my other setting sprays.

What are your go to drugstore products? I would love to try something new!
