Be happy!

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

I watched Sex and City movies last night, for the 10th time, I know, I know but a girl has to do what a girl has to do. At one point Samantha says  "I'm going to say the one thing you aren't supposed to say. I love you... but I love me more. I've been in a relationship with myself for 49 years and that's the one I need to work on." That is so true, everyone tries so hard to be in a relationships, to have someone but I strongly believe YOU should figure yourself out, love yourself before you get into a relationship. I think I am a genuinely happy person, and it took me years to get here; It took years to appreciate myself, love myself ,and the fact that I DO NOT need someone else to be there. I m strong enough to be single. I think this is why dating has a bad name and why so many people are constantly in bad relationships... they don't know themselves, how are they supposed to love someone else and have someone else love them when they don't like themselves. I also think taking time to learn who I really am and be happy is why I have only three serious relationships that worked for extremely long time.

Here is few things I learned about myself and being happy.

1) Spend more time with your family, girlfriends or guy friends. Relationships may come and go, but family and friends are forever. Never forget that.

2) Spend time alone. It’s okay if you want to stay home on a Friday night, catch up on your PVR's shows and Netflix.

3) Stop comparing yourself to others; you were put on this earth to be you, not them. Everyone has their own struggles and does thing differently. You just do you.

4) Take a lot of pictures. Take way too many and don’t forget to share and print them. We get so busy, we forget things. Keep those memories alive.

5) Let go of the past. Forgive the people who hurt you so that YOU can move on. Stop carrying around anger, it only poisons you. Wake up one day, tell yourself you can do this and carry on. Write a note on your mirror if needed, write all those angry things and set them on fire; just let it go, its time.

6) Blood is thicker then water. Make good with your family, resolve the issues you might have with your family. Tell them you love them all the time, especially when they make it hard to love them.

7) Be positive. This is the hardest thing; I am a complete bitch most days but guess what life can be even a bigger one. Things aren't going to work out all the time; learn from your mistakes, stay positive when things are bad and take every challenge as a positive. It will make you grow.

8) I had my heart broken, but who hasn't had their heart broken one way or another? People suck, so protect your heart. Don't let people break you so far that you can never put yourself back together. Be careful of who you let in, once who are there for real will understand that trust takes time.

9) Read. Read as much as you can as often as you can. It strengthens you mind and soul. I know not everyone likes to read, but read a short story here and there, a poem here and there, it makes life better.

10) Go outside. In 21st century we are all so stuck to our computers, TV's, iPhones that we forget to go outside and just breathe. Sit in the sun for 10 minutes everyday, even on cold days. Its crazy what some vitamin D can do for you mood.

11) Travel. I know its expensive to travel but start small a trip to different part of town, a city over.. whatever. Standing still is what brings us down; go do as many new things you can and visit to as many places as you can.

12) You will NEVER be able to please everyone. EVER! Some people you wont like, some wont like you but that's OK; Pissing off someone means you stood for something that is different then what they believe in; this is also OK. We were put on this planet to be ourselves, to live our own journeys, not to make sure we fit somewhere in someone else's vision or life. If you have to keep it a secret, if you have to hold back, and if for a second, a split second, you think you are going to regret it, its not real and its not worth it.

"Remember to live your life, your way. It's the only one you got. Never compromise your believes, integrity or love; Those who love you will love you without having to change those three things. "
