Sheet Pan Baked Calamari

If self isolation has taught me is that I cook way more and eat way more when at home. I was Pinterest searching for healthier recipes and stumbled upon this one - turned out delicious. According to my food critic brother this gets 7.5 out of 10, because it would taste better deep fried.
What you will need:
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons oregano
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pound calamari 
  • vegeta
How to make it:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, add egg and whisk together with 2 tablespoons of water until frothy.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, cayenne pepper, ovegeta and salt until combined.
  • One at a time, dip the calamari rings in the egg wash, then immediately transfer to the almond flour mixture, coating generously.
  • Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
