Ultimate Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Thursday, March 25, 2021

I love cookies I also love Easter time for endless amount of chocolate treat that are available. Cookies by George recently introduced Easter cookies and I thought I'd make some too.
There are super simple to make and delicious. The usual recipe I use makes about 48 cookies but this time I cut the recipe in half because living alone no-one needs 48 cookies.
What you are going to need:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 medium egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
pastel m&m's or mini eggs

How to make it:
Heat oven to 375°F. In small bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

In large bowl, beat softened butter and sugars with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon about 1 minute or until fluffy, scraping side of bowl occasionally.

Beat in egg and vanilla until smooth. Stir in flour mixture just until blended (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.

Onto a cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart and top with M&M's.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft).

Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

If you are looking for full recipe, I used this recipe and modified for what I wanted. I would reckoned curing sugar and chocolate chips if you are using M&M's are the cookies become too sweet.
