Who & What?

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Hello my darlings,
How is this Tuesday going for you? I m drowning in paper work (but what’s new?), and no longer feel like being productive. When I started blogging (here), I had no idea what I was doing (still kind of learning!) but I learned fast that one of the main things is to meeting and connecting with other bloggers. I am always impressed with some bloggers social media accounts, like WOW good job guys! Since I am still in the early/learning stages of blogging, I would love to hear from you... What platform do you use for your blog? What editing software? Who takes your photos?
Since I am new to social media (my blog instagram was created 3 months ago) and I finally revamped my twitter to fit with my blog... I am interested in who do you follow? What blogs do you read daily?
I have always followed Cup of Jo (this blog is what inspired me to start writing in the first place), Kenza, WhoWhatWear along with Undeniably, me. , FashinNY and Over my styled body.
Now, I m looking to read more blogs & follow more people… so tell me: Who must I follow on Instagram and Twitter and what blogs do you recommend?

  1. I'm a total beginner blogger (like a week in) so I'm excited to hear people's answers. I need to up my social media game---did you create separate social media accounts for your blog, or did you use your personal Instagram and Pinterest accounts??

    1. Hi,
I originally started using my personal twitter/instagram. I have since created a separate instagram for my blog along with a Facebook page. I wish I would have known to create all separate media accounts and to use those exclusively for the blog. My personal/blog twitter are now all over the place as I use it everyday... one day there is blog related thing, next day there is me complaining about ANTM. As a new blogger few tips: try to post consistently, content seems to be more important the pictures, get a good blog/web designer and maximize social media exposure. I think you will love blogging, I started it for fun and now I am always on here.

  2. I blog with tumbler; and I use it more as a collection of images and ideas for my acual job (I work in marketing). I find that my favourite bloggers are very active on social media (mainly twitter and instagram) and now days you see many insta-bloggers. I think a tip to any new blogger is: stay conistant and true to yourself.

I like your blog, I think you have done well this far.

  3. I am not a blogger but I do get to work with many blogger and brands. In twenty first century it is all about how you present yourself and how much people talk about you (on social media, that is).
For anyone looking to get into blogging as a brand manager or a start up company we look for originality, content and strong media presence.
As to who I follow: Kenza (LOVE this blog), C&C, Walking in Memphis in heels, World of Wanderlust, Oh she glows etc. I could be here until tomorrow talking about blogs I love. I find Bloglovin’ is wonderful for finding awesome bloggers and connecting with them... you will have to sit there and search through hundreds of blogs but there is amazing and very talented people out there.

    1. Hi Syvia,
Thank you so much for your feedback. I agree, Bloglovin' is a great source but I find an overwhelming amount of big time blogs that I find hard (as a baby blog) to relate.
I will try and find you on Bloglovin

  4. I work for a talent agency and have to go through A LOT of people's social media accounts. I am a strong believer that if you can position your brand/blog/self correctly on social medial that you are golden.

I read your blog, along with few you mentioned; my daily blogs also include Delightfully Tacky, Blondinbella, The Londoner and few small blogs. I think the biggest tip (from personal preference) is to keep up with quality content. My favourite section of your blog is "La la land life". It is great to have pretty picture and fluff pieces but a true reader is all about content.
